In have a 2006 Ram 1500 Sport. I was at a friends house over the 4th and his uncle has an '06 with the Off Road package on it. Anyone know what they used to lift those? His truck sat higher than mine, enough to be noticeable. Even with the roller skate wheels/tires on it. Any insight appreciated!

Probably. I can't find anything about it from the suspension companies. When I had my '01 all the suspension lifts said you would get less lift on an "Off Road". I think 2" would be about perfect. But all that is offered is a 2" leveling kit with no rear blocks. Keep searching, I suppose.

I have an '01 Ram 1500 Off-Road package truck. It consists of a factory lift kit, about 3",275-70-17 tires on wide 5-spoke painted aluminum wheels and fitted with 4.10 gears. It has skid plates on the transfer case and gas tank, and front tow hooks. I think that's about it for the package in my era of truck. The next gen trucks after mine had the same 17" wheels, but sat much lower. This is absolutely no help with what you need, just throwing it out there for reference! RT

I have an '05 with the off road package. The window sticker is still in the glove box (bought it new), but I don't think there is any special suspension call out except red painted shock absorbers. I'll confirm later.
Other package features include a 3.91 sure grip differential, skid plates, tow hooks, 275 70 17 Goodyear Wrangler (noisy) tires on argent aluminum spoked wheels, and graphics on the box side.
It does sit higher than some other '05s, but the standard tire w/o the off road package was a 245, rather than the 275. The 20" wheel package was common on the Laramie, but I don't know what the section width or profile (ie height) was with that combo.

I loved my '01 Off Road. I ended up with 33's on it and it REALLY looked good.

I want to lift mine, but the least I can find is 4". I'm thinking the off road stuff would be perfect. I have the 20" wheels and 3.92 gears in my '06, I guess they come with the Sport package. Would like to add the lift and the tow hooks from an Off Road. Time to start searching.
