Here's a few pics of my 33 I just got. this is the one that I got the wiring harness for. Its not sitting on flat ground so that's why it looks kinda goofy.

That's awesome! Pretty much the same look I'm going for. Congrats on the new toy!

nice car ! have you considered a plymouth or dodge grill shell in the future instead of the ford shell ?

with hopes to do something like this some day

I like the ply or dodge grill idea also Ron...

I didn't even know it was a Ford grill. I'd be interested in a Dodge or Plymouth shell for sure. Anyone got a pic of either and know where I might be able to pick one up? About the only plan for now is to drive it and this winter switch the rear suspension from leaf springs and ladder bars to coils and ladder bars. Oh and change the rear gears from 4.56 to 3.90 or 4.10 so it gets a little better the 10 mpg

The '32 Ford grille is sort of standard equipment on hotrods, but I've never seen one on a Mopar before.

Check out '33 and '34 Dodge and Plymouth fronts, they are even more radical than the '33 and '34 fords.

Ford Grille, Ford front suspension, Ford rear axle, good thing the drive train is Mopar.

They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

here is a side by side picture of B1arno's car with the 32 ford grill shell and then with the 34 Ply shell.
I like the mopar shell better(why try to look like a ford when a mopar is better looking in my opinion) Ron...

Thanks for the pics, I really like the 34 shell and grill. Well that will be another project for in the future I guess to get that changed when I find another. I'd imagine that the grill and surround aren't cheap?

I bought the grille insert and shell some time ago. The fiberglas shells are on Ebay all the time. I think about $250. The inserts are more pricey. I can't remember off hand where I got it but I can figure it out if you want the info.

I found a guy who has two 34 shells one from a car one from a truck, are they different? Now I just have to get him to answer his phone so I can go look at them, if I get one then I'll start looking for an insert. Maybe I'll hit you up for that info if its not to hard to find then Arno.

Don't know about the differences.

I was looking at the pictures and I think I've seen where guys made their own fins. Repro fins are going to be one-offs (my guess) and will cost about $300. Maybe they could be cut out of stainless plate with a water jet?

On the other hand, that '32 ford grille should be worth quite a bit.
Look up prices for those, they're reproduced all over, but the good ones aren't cheap.

R.

33 and 34 dodge and Plymouth shells are different looking.
is his 34 a Plymouth or Dodge?

and the small truck shell in 33,34 and 35 are the same as 33
the 33-35 BIG truck grill shells are larger but look the same at the top.
hope that help. Ron...
