'99 Ram 2500 4wd darts to the left when I hit the brakes, then stops in a straight line. New rotors/calipers/pads and bleeding the brakes multiple times did not help. The tie rod ends and track bar are new. The bearings and ball joints feel tight. What else is there? Control arm bushings?

Had the same problem on my 98, replaced rotors and pads on front, but it didn't change it at all. Took the rear drums off and found that an axle seal had been leaking oil onto the brake shoes on one side. Replaced the seal and put new shoes on and that fixed it. Check it out.

Twice in my (fuzzy?) memory, I have had this problem ...initial jab on the brakes, pull to the side, slow application, usually straight stop.

Both times, it was the rubber flex hose to the wheel, apparently the inner wall had collapsed/torn, and on fast application would block the flow to that wheel.
'74 W200, and '98 GMC. Obviously the W200 was first, and took me a while to figure it out, the GMC it was the second thing I thought of, first thing being sticking caliper.

It takes gasoline to interest me.

I did change the drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, and hardware as well. I went through no less than 5 sets of drums before I found a somewhat round pair. I still had to have them cut to true them up.

I have a new right side rubber line that I will try tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions!

There used to be a TSB on this back in the day. The factory instructed to install wheel shims I believe on the side it pulled to.

Outcast Dodge guy.

Thanks, guys. My 2007 2500 is doing the same thing.
