Anyone have a picture of the reverse lockout on one of these shifters. Ya, I know it ain't a stick shifter. A friend of mine has one in his Chevy and I'm trying to get it to go into reverse with no luck.

if i remember it right, from park you just lift the shifter and pull it back to reverse and drop it down again and you should be in reverse it could also be that you drop the shifter at neutral and then just push the handle forward once for reverse. long time since i last used one of these. but i remember that it was pretty easy to figure out.

edit: from the instructions: the gear positions (See Figure 8).
Park: To get Park from any straight gate
gear position, lift the stick all the way
and push the stick all the way forward to
the Park position. Release the stick and
the shifter is locked in Park. To get to
any other gear position you must raise
the stick to clear the stop gates.
Reverse: Raise the stick to clear the
stop and move the stick to the Reverse
position.
Neutral:Move the stick to Neutral. You
do not have to raise the stick unless you
are in Park.
Drive: Move the stick to Drive. You do
not have to raise the stick unless you
are in Park.
Second and First gears cannot be selected when the shifter is in the straig

Just lift the handle while you are in D, and push forward.

Loved that shifter! Simple and works great!

Only reason I got rid of it was for a rear exit cable. Kept burning up shifter cables with the front exit.

Thanks guys. I did what was suggested and it worked. It's allot easier with a stick shifter.
Thanks again,
Larry

You have to be in drive and then lift and move it into race and then park.
