Hello. I've been a member of the board for several years, but this is my first post. I recently purchased a '71 Hemi that had been rebuilt in 1978 by Ed Pink. The engine was never ran after the rebuild and in approximately 1979 it was sunk in a barrel of oil where it sat for 35 years. I'm looking for information about what model car the Hemi was originally installed in. Below are pics of the stampings. I assume the numbers stamped into the block '109106' are the sequence numbers of the original cars VIN. If that's right, does this give any clue as to what model car the Hemi was originally installed in? Any information is appreciated.

Date information concerning the engine....not sure if this is useful or not in determining what model car the Hemi went into?

5-19-69 = May 19, 1969 casting date of block

3301 = August 11, 1970 assembly date (10,000 day calender)

3-13-70 = March 13, 1970 machining date

G = G Series....1971 production

1R109106 would've been from a Road Runner or GTX
