I'm wrapping up a 4sp conversion to my 74 Charger and I want to install my 440 with the 4sp attached but I don't think it will work out without the front end raised up a couple of feet. Anyone have experience doing this with a 73-74 B body?

The torsion bar x member will be in the way unless you remove it.

Are you referring to the transmission mount cross member? I thought the torsion bar cross member followed the floor pan.

No the trans x member is easily removable. There is a separate piece that bolts on the back of the isolated k member for the t bars.

Mine is auto, but hands down its better with them bolted together. Drop the trans cross member and pull the torsion bars...a bit of work but it will be worth it, especially if your installing headers.
