Hi,
I'm putting back together my 1970 challenger A93 deputy coupe, and I'm now trying to fit the quarter windows in the car.
They are supposed to be fixed in place, but when I bought it, it was converted to the regular system with regulators.
How are the windows supposed to be fixed, and does anyone perhaps have some pictures of how this was done?

thanks

Antoon

The location where the regulator attaches with the stepped bolt & the split black bushing is replaced with a shorter bolt & the center attachment point with the two peice white slider is changed to a bolt & washer that locks the window in the up position...

anyone have a pic?

Thank you for restoring it back to a deputy. It seems like every time I find an A93 car or a gran coupe at a show it's had the special parts removed and turned into a regular car. (For some reason the challenger SE's seem to retain their parts better. probably due to the difficulty of swapping out that back window with the vinyl top in the way.)

Would you tell us more about the car? one horn? cigar lighter? carpet? day/night mirror? steering wheel? 70 or 71? Anything else?

It was allready modified when I bought it eight years ago, so there was no buildsheet but it did have a fendertag. It's an original 318/904 but it did have power steering, power disc brakes and even A/C (which is also going back on the car) furtermore it had one horn, cigar lighter and day/night rear view mirror. The original steering wheel is lost as are the original seats. I assume the floor was fully carpeted, as the floors themselves were in a great shape, so they didn't need to be welded at all.
I'm trying to build it as a deputy but give it a personal touch, I changed the autmatic to a four speed, and added an R/T hood, rear ducktail spoiler and rear valance with cut-outs. The color will be the original B5 blue with a black vinyl top, black hood treatment, black side stripes and blue 15 inch steel wheels with white letter tires.

@ 1 wild RT,
Is the split black bushing maintained or changed out for another/smaller one?

Thanks

To be honest it's been so many years since I worked on one I don't know for sure but I think it used the standard bushing..

Than it should use the same bolt as well. Thanks for your reply, I have a pretty good idea on how to make it happen.

Sure, I think it will take a few weeks to get back to it but I'll make some reference shots.

May 70 LA built challenger deputy here, barracuda seats, black plastic steering wheel, and this holding the rear windows up:

Yeah, it's hopped up to over 160...
