I installed headers on the 360 and they went in ok. When I was finished I realized they are hitting on the driver side. There is a bent angle piece welded to the K-frame. It sits right behind the driver side motor mount. When I removed the 318 I noticed it and remember that it did NOT seem to have a purpose.
Thinking of using a cut-off wheel to remove it. Do you guys know what it is?

That piece has been discussed before mabe you could run a search and find a few old threads on it...But to answer your question if it's in the way cut it off...Too bad you did'nt know ahead of time about the header space issue or you could have had the room to make a nice job out of it...EDIT: Here's an old thread as an example... Thanks for the link. I'm not sure what I would have searched for anyway.
I guess I'm going to have a heck of a time getting a cut-off disc in there!!
