I just bought an older set of aluminum slots for my Bee, and they are well aged! I want to clean them up a bit. I polished a set long ago with Eagle One polish and a rag. That makes for a sore arm. Any recommendations on a good cleaner/polish to use? Eagle one was kinda a jeweler's rouge, and I know I'm using a Dremel or something powered to do the hard work.

Looking for the original block for my Bee. The last 4 are 7449

Wenol red than blue on a die grinder with a cotton wheel buff pad.

Sanding them with 600 grit to get the crud off helps too.

Check and see if you have a wheel polishing shop near you...

I have an excellent one locally (they do alot of new wheel components along with engine parts for local companies, etc) and they get even the worst looking wheels to have a mirror finish and only charge about $20 a wheel. (be it new raw/as cast stuff, or just old used stuff)

I even had them do some stainless steel panels off an old gas pump I had bought.

I agree with this, the difference between what some think is a real good job and a professional is an eye opener. I polish metals daily for over 20yrs (gold, silver.platinum and a few others) but find that things like a power ball and any common auto store polish is not going to give the results that are there with the correct equipment and methods. I polish my own wheels but wouldn't work for $20.00 a wheel.LOL

The wheels they do for me are mirror finish, they look brand new basically. As said, it's better than what hand work looks like to me without a doubt.

I'm sure of that. For $20.00 per wheel it's a bargain as well.

Sort of a volume price/deal probably as I use them somewhat often and they mainly do large batches of stuff, but do just as well doing 1's and 2's.

(on stuff that is more of a touch up job, they do me a deal as well)
