My rear end is Mopar 8 3/4" 489 case. Its 2.76 gearing no posi. One wheel is bleading oil, affecting the rear brake functionality.

So I need new set of the bearing. Anyone can recommend the set of everything I need? Is it interchangeable between different rear ends or somehow unique? So far I found this set

CHRYSLER CORP. 3683966 BEARING UNIT.

OR

NATIONAL-RA-301-Bearing-Differential-Kit

The car is 383cui 69 Polara convertible. Is it correct parts? Anyone can confirm? Thanks for help

I would think the problem isn't the bearings but the inner axle seal.

Thanks for help, I have contacted dr diff.

Ok then I need new set of the inner axle seals and can possiblle exchange the bearing while its open and axles out. Are these parts specific for each case type or universal for any 8 3/4 rear end?

Why take the bearings off. If they are good and show no galling leave them alone. Clean them and pack them with new grease using a needle attachment on your grease gun. Don't worry about the seal in the retainer as it mostly keeps debrie from entering from the brake area and is not replace other than when replacing failed bearings. the seals and the axle bearings are the same across the years for the 8 3/4 rear in passenger car applications , trucks and vans may be different.

The links you posted above are the correct bearins , the first link is the factory axle bearing , there are 2 seals that also are part of the bearing assembly. one is a dust seal in the end plate and the other is the axle seal that goes in the axle tube.

It's a bit of work to swap out the axle bearings but not hard for a novice to do , a press is needed to reinstall the bearings without damage.
