Drove my car 2 hours to DuQuoin. No problems. Drove It around town 60 miles Saturday, then today on the 23 mile trip from hotel to fairgrounds, cruising around 45-55, the steering wheel starts shaking like a wheel weight fell off, or I had a tire going down, car also had a loss of power. I pulled into a gas station checked everything and saw nothing unusual. Felt the wheels and center caps for heat but all good. Drove into show, around in the show and everything is good. Then we leave and I drive 2 hours and its all good till we get 2 miles from home and it does it again, shaking and no power.. Any ideas???Torque converter going out????HELP!! Jacked it up just now and the tires will barly spin.Pulled them, and both rotors are hard to turn.Pads are wore evenly and still have 1/3 of pad left.I am thinking complete brake job including calipers and pads, and repack wheel bearings.I think rotors are fine,I will have them turned ir freshened up.Anyone have any good part #s ????

My buddy just called me and suggested hanging front caliper. I am going to check tomorrow night.

Seems more likely than torque converter. Never heard of a converter causing steering wheel to shake. Seems if the caliper was stuck you'd smell something or have felt the heat

Could a balljoint come in and out it's socket???

Sounds like a brake problem as you alluded to, I'd be looking at the master cylinder. It sounds like it was not releasing the brakes on those 2 occasions that it acted up. Maybe need a slightly shorter rod that goes into the master cylinder?
Loosen the master cylinder nuts a couple turns each and see if the wheels free up. Is it both fronts? or just one of them? Or the rear?

Both fronts.I just pull th left front caliper and the wheel spins freely. Then I pulled the hose off the booster and it was under pressure(car has not been started since yesterday).I tried the caliper on the passenger side and it was a LITTLE bit easier to turn but not much. Then I pulled the line off master cylinder that goes to the front brakes and nothing came out????And its still hard to turn

Well I have not tore into it any further. TRYING to round up parts is hard enough. I would suggest anyone with a 7 b body to have spare rotors, pads and calipers on hand. IF you can find them, they are all special order. Hopefully my rotors are fine or its going to be expensive!!!!
