I have a 77 D100 with a 440 that came with the 100 amp alternator mounted on it. I had to tear the engine down to replace the heads, cam, etc... It's been apart long enough that I can't remember how the alternator was mounted. I know this may sound ridiculous to some of you guys, but I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure it out. I have researched on line and can't seem to find a set up like mine. My mother warned me that partying too hard in the 70's would catch up with me one day. Looks like it has! Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here's a pic of a low deck with AC. Not exactly what you want but hope it helps.

That bracket is build like a bridge truss. There is an angled bracket going back from the front bracket to the head.

That alternator doesn't look like a Mopar alteranator, is it? If not, it may not be much help as he is wanting pictures of a OEM 100 amp Mopar alternator on a 440 non air conditioning vehicle

That's the OE alternator on a '78 Cordoba core engine.

Still different than what I have. I'm wondering if what I have was cobbled together by the previous owner. Wouldn't surprise me, everything else on this thing has been butchered. Since when did a new set of shocks become a rebuilt suspension? Frustrating when you trust someone's word and later find they lied through their teeth. I managed to get it back together, but will look for the correct brackets to make it right. Thanks guys.

I have all the correct brackets for those 100 amp alternators, on the big block engines.
PM me, if your interested.

The service manual should have some pictures in it. The 100A setup is fairly common on the trucks so you might find something in a wrecking yard that is close. There is probably an idler pulley setup that replaces the AC unit. If you mount the idler up first and then the crank pulley you'll see where the alternator has to go. Once you know where it has to go you can sort out the brackets.
