Need some help.....wonder if anyone can tell me what, if any diference there is between trans pans for the early gen. 727 and later models. I have a 1965 B Body, original trans and the pan is damaged. Just need to know what I can buy to get back down the road as cheaply as possible. Hoping later years will also fit but don't have one to compare it to at this time. Thanks

any cheapo pan will work ,,, but if a deep pan .. you will need the proper pickup ...

stock later pan will substitute fine. If you want to change to a deep pan, you'll need the filter extension with two holes so you'll get trans fluid to the rear pump. Of course, you would need the correct two-hole filter in either event.

Thanks for the replies. If possible, can you explain the spacer part again. Just picked up a used deep pan from my brother off his later 727, hoping it will work. Sounds like it might. It has spacers in the box. Do I need to change my filter from the rebuild kit I used or just use the spacer with the existing filter.

hi you must use a spacer like the one in the pic 413 coronet poasted !

if your spacer only has one oil pick up hole do not use it !

you need to supply front and rear pump with oil , unless you have a manual valve body i witch case rear pump can be eliminated .
