Can anyone tell me where I might find this info? As in how many feet from the stage beams and how far left or right from the center of the lanes? I know some local tracks will vary but I'm looking for info on the national event set-up.

Thanks.

I know it varies at some of the local tracks but that seems real far away. I mocked it up in the shop and that doesn't feel right. Thanks for the info though, I'll take my tape with me this weekend.

Hey I went thought same thing and we go to many tracks. I could not believe that it was that far away. so after checking 6-7 tracks. I found that all the big name tracks was very close to that. small tracks was anywhere from 30 to 40 ft. I wear size 12 so easy for me to go out and check them.

That's cool. Not that I didn't want to believe you it just didn't seem right. Have you ever checked how far left or right off center the lane?

Thanks.

As far as I know or have seen the tree is dead center of the two lanes. If that's what you mean ?

No, from the center of the lane how many feet right or left would the tree stand? Trying to set up a full size practice tree in the same location with the car as it would be on the starting line.

Thanks.

Tree should be centered between both lanes not offset.

(If the lane is 10 feet wide it would be offset 5 feet)

I think lane width varies some track to track, as does location of "the groove". I'd set it up where it feels right to you and see how things go!

Yea not sure any tracks are the same width. But I say at the starting line there is 5ft between the lanes on most tracks.

While you have your tape this weekend I would measure it at the track your at, I know for a fact that track widths will vary, not only the lane width but the distance between the two lanes also.

Official number from NHRA is 41'. I think offset from center of lane to center of tree is 15 or 16 feet.

I think Irwindale,CA is 12 ft. wide on each side At least that what it seems like when your racing in the left side up against the concrete noise wall, the right side does seem a little wider do to the distance from the noise wall to the groove on the right side , the K rail on the right side is lower so I don't seem to mind that as much as the other side
