I have a Holley Blue pump on my car that I now have to tap with a hammer to get running. I did some searching and apparently this is a common problem. I'm comsidering the Mallory 140 series or the Edelbrock (Jeg's) Quiet Pump. Does anyone know if these pumps are worthwhile, or have any other recommendations.

Thanks

I have had great luck with the Carter pumps. Super reliable and alot quieter than the Holly.
This pump has about same flow rate and psi as the Holly.

Thanks for the replies. It's for a mildly built 440 with a 750DP...The blue pump supplied fuel fine...As of now, a mechanical pump would work, but I want the electric for filling the bowls when the car sits for long periods and for future build additions.

Carter Street Pump, P4070, no need for a regulator, will pump enough gas for a really long time.

I agree another great choice. The only reason I recommended the other carter pump is that it was approximately the same PSI as the Holly pump he was replacing.
