Had a great day yesterday at rnd4 of the track championship. After changing out my heads, intake and carb i have been having a hard time slowing down for my Super Street class , 11.00-12.99. Had the car up to 3762lbs yesterday. Weather was unreal , DA started at 766 went up to 1063 middle of the day and ended at 338. 2 qualifiers only ran to the1000ft to qualify 4th at 11.20 at 101. Could not run it out because a 10 is a dq for me . Dialed 11.00 for all 5 rounds and did not run a full pass , closest run was the semi the other guy tried to hold a few and get me to run a 10 , gave him the stripe and ran 11.009 at 117.57 on the brakes for the win . Final drove round opponent for a 11.01 at 113.71. Consistancy has finally got there, better heads has been the big gain as i have used the manifold and carb before without getting consistant . 60' : 6.960 , 6.965 , 6.983 ,6.973 , 6.951 , 6.967 , 6.944 1000ft : 9.143 , 9.147 , 9.167 , 9.154 , 9.129 , 9.143 , 9.124
Thanks to Jeff at Modern for the great CNC stealth head and all the guys on this site for info provided be it engine car or driver related . Not bad for my daily driver i drove to and home from the track . Nice to final win and not runnerup in the track championship. Tex
