Just curious if there's anything I should do for precautionary reasons after I install my 512 stroker to keep it from twisting/wrecking anything?I don't plan on running the quarter mile with slicks but may put a street slick on just to help hook-up.

There is frame connectors welded in already.

Anything to stiffin it is good, after frame connectors is torque boxes, front and back and weld up the k-frame (welds stink on those). Frame connectors really helped my vert.

It'd be a really good idea to go over the welds on your K-frame and check for cracks at the same time. Recent posts have reinforced the idea that K-frame manufacture wasn't high quality.

Torque boxes would be your next step.
I still remember the body twisting I saw on Challengers and Barracudas that were running 440s at the drags. The question is a wise one.

to weld in torque boxes means stripping the carpet and burning off paint in/out?

What year and body style are you working on and does it have a roll bar or cage in the car now?

If they are decent frame connectors, installed properly and you don't plan on running the car at the track, then you are probably fine. ....'course more can't hurt.

Remember that it's traction that is the issue, not power.

One of the first things I did to my 318 Challenger was to beef the chassis. Frame connectors helped it ride and drive better dead stock. A noticeable improvement. Now it has a 496, 5 speed, stiff suspension ect. and I'm really glad I have the connectors.

Launching with slicks and 512 can tear body panels. With street tires probably not... but the connectors will make it a better ride even when you are not hammering it.

Is it a R/T Challenger or a non R/T chassis? The reason I'm asking is the R/T have the reinforced torque boxes in front of the front leaf spring mount and the rear sub frames and the rocker panels If your car doesn't have them adding them will help stiffen the back of the car up some They will help your subframe connectors stiffen the back of the car also
