Beep Beep OP super stock B Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 749 NY	Does anyone know what the correct air gap is on a diaphragm type clutch? I am running a American Powertrain Clutch. What gap should I have between the throw out bearing and the pressure plate fingers?

As for the throwout bearing, never heard of a number there, just as long as it doesn't ride on the fingers. They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. You may need to install a clutch stop bumper to keep from over centering the diaphram pressure plate espcially at high RPM , I like to have at least .060 air gap between the disc and the plate or flywheel and the same on the throwout bearing to the fingers on the pressure plate Absolutely no contact on the bearing to the fingers with the clutch peddle all the way out If it touches it will wear the bearing and maybe the fingers out real quickly Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
