In my mis spent youth, M&G Convoy would deliver our new cars, pulled by one of these, and the most regular driver was a guy by the name of Ken Humbert.
Ken was a great guy, and got to be a family friend, he would look for our cars, sometimes making two trips a day from White Plains NY to Vermont.
We would hear that transport trailer go rattling by, (we lived on the main drag of our small town) Ken would blow the horn, and my dad or myself would go meet with him.
He was so trusted he would sometimes deliver them, check for damage, write up any damage report, do the whole deal if no one was around ... aah, the good old days ...
