I'm thinking of doing a cam swap in my LA,Are there any springs made that will handle .510 lift and fit the stock dia.spring pockets on these (360 915 J)Heads? Will the stock guides need to be cut for clearance? Just trying to save some $$$ and time by swapping them with the heads on the car.Thanks,D.

dunno, but I think the spring pockets are in the 1.45" OD range...check out the diameter of a comp 901. those drop on w/o machining, but are only good to ~.490 lift.

I have the same heads on my 340, I used 1.437 Dia springs from Competition Products, stock #98432. It is running excellent, no issues that I can tell. I used there keepers and teflon valve seals too........
