Dougsmopars OP top fuel D Joined: May 2005 Posts: 2,295 dark side of the moon	My 68 GTX 440 with big Voodoo cam has Hemi style mufflers and stock manifolds. Had a wicked drown at 30 35 miles an hour. Put a set of magnaflow resonators drown gone but did get quite a bit quieter. My super bee 440 with 509 mopar cam X pipe and dynaflow mufflers sounded mean but same thing had a wicked drown at 30 35 miles an hour again went with magnaflow resonators drown gone but so is the mean sound. Any one with cammed up motor and stock manifolds found a good performance muffler that sounds good with no drown ?

topside Too Many Posts Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 20,755 A collage of whims	I have the Dynomax Super Turbos (the ones with "flow directors") on my Hemi RR 2.5" system w/tips, and they have a nice crisp but not tinny sound, no drone, sound great. I'm putting a pair on my 3"-system BB wagon street strip car too. Had a 406" Duster, 2.5" full exhaust & tips, that had Flowmasters or a knock-off of them on it, very similar sound quality to my Hemi car but no drone. (To run 2.5" through factory tips, the tip inlets are too small, cut them off and weld to the bulged area.)
