Found this behind the built 318 in my 69 valiant, has anti-balloon everything on it seems . It's painted green (looks like the only paint on it) and if I measure across the front I get 11" from the bulge. I didn't think they made nitrous converters in 11? Only numbers I found were '42' on it.

WOW that was a learning experience. When you said the convertor was GREEN it flashed me back to the 1970's and my first built 727. It was green and produced by Winters Transmission. I did a couple of fast Google searches to see if the were still in business or any info available. I didn't put 2 and 2 together all these years an know that JW transmissions and convertors is JOHN WINTERS. I've used their products in my Daytona and now in my duster. I never see GREEN tranny parts or convertors anymore but thanks for the learning lesson tonight.

I found them too and it makes sense since the car was from sort of that area but from what I see on their website they only do GM converters?

Can you scrap some of the paint off to see if there is another collar under it. Some of the people that love the collar green are half nuts. We have a racer at PRP with a green car, transmission, convertor, underwear, and his going on 60 wife dresses in lime green every week.

No, they do mopar also! The GM page pops up first. Click on the converter page, Ford and mopar are linked together. The converters listed arent very high stall though. Around 2500 or so. Dont remember exactly , looked at it hours ago.

Just because your verts green , doesnt mean its one of thiers though.

sum-monkey I think you're right!

Looks exactly like my converter and like I says it makes sense since the car was from that area. I'm hoping it's not too high of a stall the car only has a 318 with eddie heads/cam/intake. Should only need about 2500-3000 in a light a-body like this.
