Hi guys and gals. I have a friend with a 70 Challenger and he wants to build a T/A clone. Who has the best reproduction hood on the market? Please post pics and tell me what you like and or didn't like about any hoods you have tried. Thanks Dan

They also make the AAR hood. It is a dead on repro hood The bottom of the hood is bare fiberglass just like the original I had one on my T/A and no one could tell it was a repop I paid around $895 two years ago

What I have seen is the original TA hoods sometimes bowed. Some of the aftermarket fiberglass hoods are better (heavier duty) than the original. Call AAR-Stinger Fiberglass located in Florida. Heavier duty, nice piece.

I like this hood but what am I looking at as far as fit problems? I saw in a earlier post you had some problems with it being level. What did you have to do to correct it? Thanks Dan

The hood comes roughed in. It took some final tweeking to get the correct fit and finish. My body guy had to put some filler on the top to get the right level of the hood to fender. But the hood is the closest I've see to original without the bowing effect of the original. It has re-enforced steel in the hinge area where it bolts to the hood hinges
