Anyone run the 3" system as mentioned in the title?? It is a X-member back set-up. I've got the 5903 Hooker Comps already.

Looking for a street/strip set-up. Will probably get my own mufflers (Ultraflows). Just wondering if others have tried it and what fitment issues??

Thanks
Dean

My brother has their 3" system on his 69 Satellite ,Hooked 5903 and a pair of Summit chambered mufflers. Fits and sounds good.

good question !!

Like all "Summit" products its someone else's stuff re-branded and possibly a bit lower quality. So who makes it, if anyone knows ??

Yep, most likely. I see the Jeg's system goes for the same price and recommends the Hooker 5903's too. Probably the same stuff.

If it helps any, I used the Jegs A body 2.5" kit
that is all aluminized (made by Pypes) and it
is a nice kit for the price IMO. Sounds good
(to me anyway) with flowmaster mufflers and the
Accurate 2.5" stainless factory type tips on my Duster.

I put their 3" system on my challenger. I have no name headers and I didn't need to modify/cut it at all. But to clear the crossmember I had to angle the ds down some so it sits kind of low. I know it's not a b-body, but I'm happy with it and bought it for 230ish on sale

I have it, I had mine welded, spent about $200 getting some cuts and welds done. Heres what it sounds like with their cheapo mufflers

I bought the jegs version because it was split going over the rear end hump making it easier to install in my opinion vs the summit which (at it used to) is one piece over the hump. Just something else to think about.

I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally....

Everything I found is they sell the same exhaust kits... at least from old posts I found on the net.

The kit I got from Summit a few weeks ago had split tailpipes.

I don't see any of the Summit systems having "H" or "X" pipes
