what heads you putting back on ? I should of said what CC chamber heads ?
This is what I used with my eddy's
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fel-17059
Same ones I ended up switching to. I believe they have a slightly larger bore diameter than the regular felpros. I used the regular felpro gaskets the first time, and ended up loosing one. My fault for not checking during assembly, but the fire ring on the regular felpro actually hung over the chamfer at the top of the cylinder bore enough to be exposed to the combustion and not create a perfect seal (I guess).
Anyhow the marine ones are better.

Pistons are SRP's about .020 in the hole. I'd like to be around 10.5 so I can be safe with pump gas but in all honesty am I giving that much up by just putting it together the way it is?
Well your just driving it around..and you don't care about the HP//Yea you can.. Me I have .030 taken off them heads. Are these new heads ..Have you had them checked out ? if they are out of the box new. You need someone to take them apart and check them out.. might as well have them milled then.

My RPM's are milled .050 and they will go more than that. On my old motor, i ran shims, copper coated with these heads for around 2 yrs and didn't have a problem. Mick

Codfish I run the Marines on my 440 also. The 1009s hung into the chambers with my Stealths. The cheaper ones didnt.I went Marine because of 12.5 compression. Its street driven and I run mostly pupm gas. When I want to race or hammer on it hard I use 110 octane mix.Rocky

This , have the heads cut down to 80cc and have someone go thru them , clean up the valve job, backcut the valves and check the clearance of the guides.
With your pistons ABOUT .020 in the hole you lose the benefit of quench. You could run the steel shim gasket, coat them with permatex copper coat.

Seems the Eddy heads are about another month or two from shipping Good news is the Victor Small block heads have several part numbers and ship time is looking about the same for them. Looks like I'm going to be stuck with 9.8-10 for my compression. I don't really want to mill these heads and all of the shops around here are several weeks deep in work.
other than the several weeks deep why don't you want to mill the heads other than the added issues with pushrod length and valve to piston clearance ?
you could always weld up the chambers some ???
Kidding ...

Just went out and measured with a straight edge and feeler guages and came up with .015-.016 down for the pistons. I'm on the phone now with Summit and it seems Edelbrock has a 75cc RPM head listed. If I can get these heads then I'll be right at 10.7 with the edelbrock .038 gasket.
Im not aware of any 75cc RPM.s stock, they have tobe milled about .050 to be around 75cc.
I think the victors are 75cc.
If there are new 75cc RPM heads, thats news to me.
