I had one that would not smooth out so I took the cable out and used white lithium grease on and that fixed it. "Turbo will be easiest, and at the HP level will also be easiest on parts. Spend the money to do it right, and you can build a 500 HP street motor that will live a long and happy life, and probably with a very basic short block." Those words must have left a bad taste in his mouth!

IMGTX I Live Here Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 12,234 Looking for a way out of Middl...	I use a mixture of graphite and transmission fluid. I remove the insert of the cable at the speedo end and spray some graphite and tranny fluid in the end and fish the cable the insert back in while adding fluid and graphite as needed. Works for me.
