Hemi ragtop super stock H Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 984 Tennessee	The base that fits on the post, is pot metal that is chrome plated. Mine spider webed just like you described. My chrome plater could not plate them due to the hinge. We sanded the "webbing" out and polished them and they look great. A lot of work but worth it on a car as detailed as yours.
