Can anyone confirm the steel wheel width and backspacing on a 1970 Swinger 340 4 sp 8-3/4 rear with 4" bolt circle and K/H disc brakes and sway bar (A31 & S13 package)
My notes indicate a 3-3/4" back space as compared to a 6 cyl Valiant has 3-1/2" backspacing.
Steel Wheel # 2660312 and T76 Tires(E70x 14 Polyglas)
Govier Books indicate the 2660312 wheel is 4-1/2 wide
I seem to have noted 14 x 5-1/2 x 3-3/4 backspacing as my (lost) spares
I bought the car with cragars and want to go back to orig steels with dog dish

That's what I thought but
My broadcast sheet line 4> wheels> road,spare has a number "12"
In goviers book Vol 1 8th edition pg 45 he lists 26603"12" as a 70-71 abody steel wheel as 14 x 4.5 ??
The only listing for 70-71 4 x 5.5 is a rallye wheel
My orig (broadcast) were painted FC7 same as the car
I still need the backspacing info in order to locate wheels @ meets

I don't have wheels handy to measure, the wheels will be stamped 14x5.5 on the inside and 5.5 by the valve stem, there isn't different backspacing for 14x5.5 4"BP Mopar wheels .

Not all goviers info in the books is correct, he does that on purpose. I would have to look at my Broadcast sheet for my 69 Dart to see the code , it has the same 14x5.5 wheels .

SO Govier books are not always correct and only to be used as guide
I just thought that the steel wheels had different backspacing due to disc vs drum brakes.
Will check out @ car show & meets etc + post wanted ad

Part & casting numbers book "sixth" ed 2660312 >> 14 x 5.5
Part & casting numbers book "EIGHTH" ed 2660312 >> 14 X 4.5

Hard to believe a mistake was made in a revised edition
I never throw anything out
Will look for 2660312 wheels
