I put the points cam and points plate into the electronic, and then installed the pertronics on it . I did it because the electronic unit was new, the points unit was very used ... Now I'm wondering if I swapped the vac can too ? Is your electronic the old style with the slots or the new style with adjustable mechanical advance ?

I'm trying to put the elect. plate in my points dist. to be able to use the elect. vacuum advance! But that won't work! The elect. plate even if it did work doesn't have the tapped holes for switching back to points if say, the pertronix was to die on me on the road.
