Anyone have any luck with the reman power steering chucks from Rockauto.com? Remanufacturers are Atsco, A1 Cardone, Lares, etc.

I'm not into the number / year correct thing (large shaft, small shaft, etc.), so this seems like an option for a car that is barely driven.

And, yes, I know "Firm Feel" is better, etc...

What car is it for?

If you are replacing the pitman arm also may I suggest getting the one one for a 1989 Dodge Diplomat police package. A little firmer feel to it

For the absolute best powder coating go to J.I.T powder coating, contact infomation is in my personal profile..

I bought one from oreilly auto parts, and its actually quite a bit firmer than the stock unit was and i like it.Think it was around $180 for the box and pitman with no core.

I balked at the price of Firm Feel so I bught a Cardone... It was so loose my alignment guy thought it was a worn out original.Drove the car and it steered like an amusement park jalopy. Finally gave in and ordered a FF Stage 3...Worlds apart! Pricey but changed the whole demeanor of the car, best money I ever spent on the csr! I sent the Cardone in as the core,it was that bad. Would have been so much cheaper (and MUCH less labor) to have done it right the first time.
Good luck!

Same here , I bought a reman cardone for a 99 durango and I was not impressed with how it drove.

I wouldn't waste the money on a reman .

I've had good luck with NAPA racks on DD's ('98 Neon and '06 Durango). I wouldn't use a Cardone on a classic for reasons mentioned above. NAPA may be worth a try for a Classic. That said, my '70 uses a FF stage II box and I love it.
