I'm about tired of the stripped bolt holes and lack of flow out of my very stock 906 heads. I'm in the middle of a cam change and every bolt hole for the intake needs an insert I've fixed almost all the valve cover holes. The exhaust header holes have been fixed.

They were rebuilt 12 years ago just before the Eddy heads were released and they are unmodified 2.08/1.74 heads. What do I need other than the heads, head gaskets? I'm already using crane roller rockers, ARP head bolts.

Cam is a mopar .528 but I may take it back and get the .557 if the springs in the heads will work. Just need some information before I do this. Thanks

I would get a new set of head bolts and valve cover gaskets in addition to the head gasket/intake gasket/valley pan.

Be aware, the Eddy heads may not have the bolt holes that line up for the alternator braket. May have to modify to get this to work...mine don't line up so my alternator doean't fasten to the head on the back side (yet).

All you need are the gaskets if you're going to bolt them on right out of the box. The .528 cam should work fine with the Edelbrock springs.

The stripped threads are not the heads fault.

You'll need bolts. Now would be the time to get your desired CR too.

I'm running an MP '557' solid grind on stock edelbrock springs/guides. I don't really spin past 5500 or 6000 rpm though. This is with a set of ootb 60779 heads, adjustable rockers.

Are you retaining the same headers or manifolds?

The heads may be taller so check the push rod length.

I replaced my 906's with MP452's, which are Eddy's with straight plugs. Regular Eddy's have interference issues with manifolds. No pushrod issues. You will have to get the special headbolts and be sure to follow the torque specs included with the heads.

For the last 12 years this car has been together its had schumacher headers. Right now I'm seriously debating taking the pro-parts headers out of the attic and putting them back on the car. The Pro-parts need some serious cleaning, maybe coating, and I have to acquire new collector reducers.

....if you are considering using those Pro-Parts headers like you mention, it would be in your best interest to first make sure they provide adequate clearance with the spark plug locations found on the Edelbrock heads.
