I have a 70 Challenger with a 73 340 in it. The motor is basically stock with the exception of a slightly larger cam (don't exactly know what size) and headers. The car is auto with a 4:10 rear. I am thinking of upgrading to a performer rpm air gap intake and a new carb (has a stock intake and Holley 750 vac on it now).My first question is with the minor engine mods is the intake upgrade worth the cost? My second question is what carb should I run with this combo? (I prefer Holley)
Thanks for any input.

I think that intake would be a great upgrade. the 750 Holley vac is a good carb rebuild it and taylor the secondary spring to open to your liking and make sure the diaphragm is sealed and not perforated and is functioning properly!

Hard to improve on what you have now.

rpm intake is worth a few ponies.Even more so with 4.10's sa you will be in a higher rpm range more frequently.Carb is perfect.

For a 340 if you waant a new carb I'd suggest a 670 Street Avenger.
It'll run great right out of the box.

Or, you could put a metering block in the back and keep your 750.
