Double check the fuse..
If blown next check the switch..
We have seen the reverse switch short out to ground and blows the fuse. Check continuity from each of the switch's (2) terminals to ground.. Should be no continuity.. If yes, then the switch is shorted..
Next check continuity between the contacts, the switch is normally
open.. And the contacts
close (make continuity) when the trans is pushed into reverse.
When replacing the switch try to find one made in the USA or Canada, the same switch covers many years and now many of the auto parts stores only sell the junko China one..
