Hey gang,
I noticed last week that all of the 1970 LA built Darts I have seen so far have scheduled production dates (SPDs) between May 28 & July 24th, 1970.

Does anyone have one or know of any with earlier SPDs?

I only know of 8 total so far, but not many folks register A bodies. So, Did LA start making Darts late in the model year for some reason or have I just not seen or heard of any earlier ones yet?

Thanks!

Barry

I took a look at 1970 Valiant models from LA also. I have heard of 36 of them so far, all in the last two months of the 1970 model year.

So, if anyone else has a 1970 LA built A-body of any type, 2 or 4 door I would love to hear from you to help narrow down when they started building them.

FYI
My 70 Dart Swinger 340's build date on the fender tag and build sheet indicates 6-23 and was built in Windsor Canada

Even when Dart production started in LA they continued to make them at Windsor as well. Weird that so few LA Dart's have surfaced. Here is a factory invoice for an LA Dart from a local dealer where I got all the paperwork from.

Thanks for the details on that one Tom!

Does anyone else have any info on any 1970 A-body from the LA plant?

Spring Fling on Saturday would have been THE BEST place to get this info. I was at the Mopars in May show and spotted one 70 Dart (Swinger 340), but was not built at LA.

Hopefully one of the folks that could make it there read this thread first, took a look around & will report any they saw if any were there.

I would prefer to hear from the cars owners, but field reports of 'spotted' cars are always helpful.

I used the broadcast sheet found under the front seat of my 1970 LA built Dart for the Item Of The Month at http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/

I have not heard of any other 1970 LA built A-bodies since this thread was started, there have to be more...........
