Cool! Hope ya got it cheap. Lots of trucks around here like that, rust free good runners with minor body damage, trashed interiors for around a grand.
I feel sorry for you guys up north. The rear wheel well openings on my 84 are just starting to show a little rust coming thru. Otherwise no rust.

Good score ...already got the newer mirrors, can't remember when all the changes were, thinking '98, you may be in luck.
That would be a good score here in the land o sunshine ...

the plan is to make one really nice rust free truck out the two.. nothing to crazy.. might paint it the viper blue but thats about it for upgrade.. gonna run my 97 5.9 in it with the headers that are already on it.. i have 3 sets of wheels to choose from now.. but i really like those factory chrome steal wheels so those will probably stay..

sorry guys i know its not much of a unique project.. i love those those 70's dodge trucks.. my 72 crew cab will have to wait a little longer.

looks like a fun project. i'm still looking at an indy ram, with an interior not far from that one. only difference, i don't have a rotted parts truck, with a sweet interior to make a swap with.

I had that same thought from the looks, but if that was really the case, you would know.
Trust me.

Oh yeah!! Up to your neck again!! The zero rust factor is a BIG motivator. Hope you dipped the whole thing in oil already. What happened with the black truck swap thing?

I put the black beauty up on the lift to change the oil pan a couple of weeks ago only to find the frame had been patched in about 12 different spots 2 of which i knew about the rest were hidden pretty good.. After seeing that i brought it home and thought about it for a while.. Got to looking on cl for a frame.. Found the texas truck.. Decided if im gonna do all this work it may as well be on something with no rust to start. Sold most of the big parts i had collected for the black truck to fund the paint and body work stuff.. The rest is fairly simple..

Gonna finish the strip down this weekend and start in on some body work.. Thats my least favorite part of this whole deal..

On another note. Got the 300 pulled out of storage. Carb rebuilt, new brakes on order.. Found low compression on 2 cyl which is a bummer but its gonna run for the season the way it is..
