I think that they are overlooked due to the Super Stock model fastback getting so much attention. I had a 69 383 Formula S notch. I think they are badass with big block power like mini Roadrunner's with a 108 wheel base.

I got a 68 barracuda notchback in vegas about 4 years ago.Can anybody tell me why I see very little info. about them? I'm new to the hobby and I would like to know if they are hard to come by or is IT that nobody wants them? I love the one that I have but I need to know.
The info on them is just like the info on the convertible and fastback models. It's just a different roof. Options are very similar. What info are you looking/hoping for?
Sounds like you are thinking of selling it.

No sir I'm not thinking of selling.I am new to the group and was just curious.I've been in my garage for 5 year's puting this together and just love working on it.I think that I'm married, but I just can't remember.Thank you for the information.I gotta go work on my car!
The yahoo list Barracuda Owners Group BOG is just for 2nd gen Barracudas. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/BarracudaOwners/
Also the Data, Interior Trim, Dealer, etc guides are on Hamtramk Historical. They are very, very helpful: http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/library-2.shtml
Here's Production numbers for 68 Barracudas: http://www.plymouthbarracuda.net/information/1968-barracuda-production.shtml
Fast Back 22,575 Coupe 19,997 Convertible 2,840 Total 46,018
Just a WAG, but I probably see 30%-40% Notchbacks to Fastbacks at car shows around here.

Wow, that's interesting. Based on the number I see, I would have thought there were far fewer coupes made. Thanks for that info.

That's a good point. But...
As a general rule, more expensive and special equipted cars survive longer. The cheaper /6 stipper models went to the junkyard first. As a general rule the cheaper the car the less maintainence and more abuse it gets. In terms of total production of coupes and fastbacks, 47% were coupes.
If you look at those production numbers, the V-8 production was ~15K fastback and ~10K coupes. So for V-8's between the two bodystyles it went down to 41% Coupes.
Now look at Formula S's... 340: 2,857 fastback vs. 867 coupes. That's 23% coupes.
Then 383: 963 fastback vs. 252 coupes. That's all the way down to 21% coupes
Notice a trend? As you go down that list the cars get more expensive. I realize a 383 4spd cars got a lot of abuse. But they also got a lot of fond memories and seem to have lived 9 1/2 lives.

can you tell me how many 68 coupe 383 4 seeds were made? and do you think the 383 4 speed coupe are worth more? thanks Ed
That list I link to reads... 68 coupe 383 4 speeds: 154 Whereas there were 553 fastbacks.
A real nicely restored "done" low mile white on black?, 383 4spd, loaded sold on Ebay a few months ago for like ~$35K or something. Out of Ventura County, CA.
IMHO, the fastbacks sell for more money and/or sell faster. Exception may be a M-code 69 'Cuda 440 coupe.
