I have what i believe to be a 70-71 rally dash, and the clock reset cable outer sheathing is toast. I don't wanna buy a whole new one since its just the outer plastic that is destroyed. Does anyone have the length of plastic tubing between the two metal ends? I'd like to retrofit some new tubing on there.

Also, does anyone still make quartz conversion units for the rally clocks? I guess dashworx is no longer in business.

Thanks

Is the r-3035 the correct quartz replacement kit?

Could you use some heat shrink tubing to cover the reset cable??? That would be the easy way out...That number looks to be the one..Saw it on Ebay with an instruction DVD in the kit...

I have used larger diameter tubing and small clamps over the old tubing with some success, but my tubing was only damaged a little.

The tubing is responsible for keeping the reset knob at its correct location on the dash. Mine is completely destroyed and it allows the inner cable and knob to push right out of the dash.

my plan would be to slid some plastic tubing length wise and wrap it over the steel wire. Then tape the slit [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean], and epoxy the ends to the metal fittings. I just need to know the length of plastic tubing between the fittings so i can make sure the knob is going to be at its proper position.

And ya, i went ahead and ordered that quartz clock with the instruction dvd off of ebay.

Also, i noticed that although i have the cable reset bezel, i have a 7k tachometer. Is this a pieced together unit?
