Will an 85 5th Avenue suspension work in a 38 4dr?
Would it be best to weld the k-member to the original 38 frame or cut the original and weld in the entire front subframe from the 5th Avenue ? What about width , will the tires clear the fenders ? Would the rear springs from the 5th Avenue work on the 38 ? The 5th Avenue seems like it would have a lot of needed parts. Tilt steering column, pedals, master cyl, etc.

Take a look at the other posts here in the rodder's section. Lots of similar questions about suspension, clips and frame swaps.

Thanks beesting, thats a cool looking truck. I will consider welding in the k-member to the 38 frame like you did. I just got the parts car home today and will take measurements.

I did a 5th ave clip on a 35 Dodge sedan, I needed to widen the front fenders to clear the tires/wheels with 15x7 standard offset aluminum slots. Think I added 4" total, but then the front tires set inside the fenders. Might have an old poor picture of the car. Gene

Here is one when it wasn't so pretty, but shows a better angle. Gene
