I have a 2002 Chrysler sebring convertable and the passenger power window will power the window down but will not put it back up. Both drivers 4 way and passengers power switches have been replaced by another shop and still the same results. I have been given the great pleasure of trying to find the problem. I have bypassed the switch and jumped the motor to itself and the window goes up and down perfectly. The 4 way switch does nothing for that window but operates the other 3 fine. The passenger switch will operate the window down but not back up. Has anyone run into this before. Wasn't sure if this may be wiring or not or is there some sort of module or relay or something that might be faulty? I made a mistake on the year of car. It is a 02 and not a 98. Not sure if this makes a difference.Thanks.

They replaced both switches, but did they change one & when it didn't work did they throw the old switch back in? The other likely cause is a broken wire....

Actually I just reread your post, 98 likely the windows are controlled by a body module....

Don't forget the windows are also controlled by the convertable top switch...Do all the windows go down when you put the top down ???

Here is an update. In regards to previous poster the only window that does not work is the passenger front and that is in the up only. It will go down with no problem. Also the 4 way switch on the drivers side will operate the drivers and 2 back windows but not the passenger side. I have checked today and both switches work fine, the harness from the switch to the motor works fine. I can jump the motor at the switch plug and reverse polarity and the window will go up and down fine. The tan wire that feeds both switches from the power fuse are both showing 12 volts. Is there a relay that operates these switches? I have seen a schematic that shows it but have no idea where they would be located. I have check both fuse panels and see no relays listed for the power windos. All other fuses, etc, appear to be good. Any help would be appreciated. I have not looked into the harness between the doors and body yet but will if I have to. Want to see what anyone else feels about it first. Thanks.
