The drivers door hinge on my 66 Coronet are getting real week......lots of slop and hard to close the door. Have and of you guys replaced the pins in the higes before? If you have how well did it work? Or would i just be better off to buy new hinges?........joe

buy new hinges. The time that you waste will pay for the hinges.

If the hinges are only worn to the size of the bushing you install, then replace the bushings/pins. If however the hole is larger, or oblong excessively then there really is no other option except to replace.
Curt
Of course you could weld up the holes and re-drill them, just not too much fun

I've repaired my own for eons..
Stainless steel round stock and drilled out for the pin size... and cut them at 1/2" lengths. Then I weld 2 per hinge to give the stock pins support at the bad area and plus... they will never wear out
Mostly have to repair only one door hinge(large one) and also.. it's hidden
