I bought these rolller rockers for my 512 stroker currently being built: http://www.prwonlinestore.com/pqmoparshaftrockersystemstainlesssteel383-440-3244012.aspxFirst impression was all look solid and nice in the box. Today I started working on the valve train and I have some mixed feelings...after working with main studs and rod bolts from ARP it was kind of a brutal awakening to start working on these PRW roller rockers. The push rod adjusters feel like there is sand in the threads, and the adjuster itself feels loose in the threads. Yeah, I forgot to mention that one of the supplied studs is not straight, and will need a little massage before it can be used... Anybody having experience with these rockers?

Apart from the adjusters feeling loose in their threads, I'm also sligthly puzzled by the adjuster itself...seems they have removed more threads than necessary to get the oil thru the hole. It seems there is no more than 5 threads holding the adjuster...see the pic attached.

Rockers are one of those pieces you shouldn't really scrimp on. I bought Harland Sharps from Todd at Competition Wedge and couldn't be happier with them. Gave me a great deal and delivered quickly.

I have a set, had to do following mods: The ones with threads not perpendicular: They can break the glass-hard brittle adjusters, solved it with using T/D adjusters + locktite on the top threads, not overtorquing (hydraulic cam, initial adjustment only). Take care to have correct length pushrods so the oilrelief is correctly positioned. Careful shimming sideways to avoid the lips on the outside of the rollerwheel to hit the valvestem top. You could also grind the lips away, then they look more like the compcam type, but it is some more work. The rockers with the bronzebushings will be OK, the others without will gall on the shafts. Some work to do, but then they could be OK. Mine are 1,7:1. I prefer them, they should be more durable than the aluminum ones.

these sure look like the SS440-1 CAT rockers that use to be sold by 440 source
They are the same ones. On the bottom of mine you could see a faint cat logo printed on them.
