Be careful when choosing the cowl hood... someone might not like it and steal your car pic so they can post it on FaceBook
Every single car in that picture looks BADASS!
So there you go OP, you have my opinion

buy the long one and cut it to the length you want.I just ordered a 5 in. cowl scoop that I am going to have to cut because I can not get one that is short enough.

hey jeepmon how long is your cowl hood scoop? i ask this becasue i just measured my 72 duster hood and from the bottom of the windshield to the end of my hood is 54 inches.Just wondering if that will be to long, becasue my hood will not be a lift off. I will be using the stock hinges.I just looked and he does have another scoop that is 8 inches tall and only 40 inches long.so more or less not sure which scoop will work?
The nice thing about the cowl hoods, you can cut them back to any design.. and any length.. Mine fits real close to the windshield and is cut in to follow the shape of the windshield with 1" of gap..
UP22 used to have a very bad rap regarding their quality.. A local friend bought one for his Chevelle and had nothing but problems.. and the internet is full of complaints..
Mine is from Glasstek and the quality was pretty nice..

hi Ron i would love to run the six pack scoop but do not think it will be high enough for my tunnel ram.
Yea that does make a difference with a tunnel ram. This is what my brother did on his 64 as he has a tunnel ram on his 499 low deck in his 64. He is not happy with the scoop and decided to build a new 500 this year with the Indy big EZ heads and he is going to use the Mod Man intake with 2 fours and change to scoop back lower so it looks better like he likes it. Yea I guess your options are limited with the tunnel ram. Ron

Jeepmon who is up22??
They were called Universal.. or Unlimited.. or something like that and the prices were hecka cheap... but thats when they got the bad reputation for quality.. Since then, I heard they were bought out and the new owners wanted to improve the quality... I have no personal experience with them, instead, I'm sharing what I've heard.. which is not good..

Buy two fiberglass hoods and mount the mopar pro stock scoop on one for racing. Cut a hole in the other hood for the street and let that sucker shine.
Huge distain for cowl hoods on mopars. Sorry to the good people on moparts that own green 70 chargers... I just think they are out of place. and that tall... so strange looking. be careful if you put one on. somebody in a smart car might mistake it for a freeway onramp.
Me? Yuck? Who? Lots of Mopars with cowl hoods running around, and seemingly growing by the minute. Some even have Chevy transmissions and Ford rear ends!!!

Good ole UP ..... Unlimited Products ..... FORTY THOUSAND square foot building .... they HAVE to be selling some product .... THE UNLIMITED ADVANTAGE… All of our products feature hand-laid fiberglass construction, using premium grade materials. This is far superior to cheaper chopper gun-made items in terms of strength, durability and weight. They are a smart alternative to steel body parts as they’re lighter, won’t rust or ding, and are easy to prep and finish. So THEY SAY .... but how about using PREMIUM GRADE workmanship? ... that is THEIR problem. And a chopper-gun product is NOT cheaper to do at all ! The chopper-gun-part has ..... LESS STRENGTH ? ... hogwash. If you get a good operator ...he/she can distribute more or less material in the places that need it ...or don't. DURABILITY ? .... fiddlesticks. Their product is FAMOUS for falling apart ... it all comes down to ... the CONCERN FOR A QUALITY PART from the maker of the part. WEIGHT ? ... BS. If their parts were half-azzed well-braced ... their parts would weigh MORE than a quality made part. The bottom line is this .... making FG body panels is NOT rocket-science ... it just takes some skill and "attention and concern to detail" .... which they have shown over the years that they choose NOT to do.
