Looks like a 4640 (but the picture is not clear). If so, it's a 69 440HP auto and looks to be a replacement carb, not and original (looks like a date code of M3 and the "SA" at the end of the number). It certainly is a 69-older (the open bowl breather is the giveaway on that).

what is the number on it ? AVS was used 69 , 70 , 71 , there is no vent tube so it's not a 71 cab , or a 69/70 with ECS ...

John, you forgot 68 AND the AVS was actually used as early as 66 on the 275hp 327 Chev. I once found that setup (intake and carb) for a friend for $10....

Damn double R, are you getting mellow in your old age . We dont do chebby here but my first Mopar at age 24 that hooked me was a '68 GTX 440 4 sp 4.10 dana convertible purchased for $500 & only needed a radiator & it had an AVS

Really not sure how that happened. I don't have the carb, but I do know that I've got info on the carb in my shop manuals...
