Greg is a stand up guy...I find it hard to believe that he would sell something for brakes that are NOT DOT approved. his are probably safe to use.

I'm sure both sets of lines would do the trick. As for the braided lines giving you a firmer pedal...I think that is a line of bull. The improvement you would gain would be marginal at best as far as the pedal feel goes...if your pedal is already soft, braided lines WILL NOT fix it.
I have known a few people who bought those braided lines and they couldn't tell the difference. That being said, if they are cheaper, and you like the looks...go for it
I myself prefer the stock look of rubber lines.
