About two weeks ago i went and looked at a 1970 Satellite from Georgia. Its been in northern Michigan since 1986 with the same owner, he finally decided to sell it and I went and picked it up tonight. I am very happy with it, although it needs some work its extreamly solid and only has a couple "funny area's" that need some dolly work or replacement. The worst part is the lower radiator support piece that go's under the radiator and the center hood support bolts to it....that part is bent up pretty good but the rest of the car is about perfect.

This is going to be a quick paint and change the interior from green to black and drive it! Im not getting nuts restoring it. Im just going to enjoy it for awhile then figure out if its something I really want to keep.

Just thought Id share.

Nice score! What drive line is in it now? Did you get a good price?

Looks like a great project! Already has Road Runner tail lights, buckets, Suregrip with good gears, and the AG hood. I like it a lot.

I started pulling parts out of the trunk and haven't seen anything that bums me out.

If you keep to that plan you'll enjoy the car much more. Do a ground up nut & bolt job and you can't go out to dinner with your wife without parking right next to where you sit for fear of someone putting a door ding in it.

Hey Hi Impact, ARE you the guy in Manistee or do you know the guy there with the NICE B5 Convertible '70 RR? I usually see it every summer when we vacation in Ludington.

I have a 70 belvedere and I have done what you are wanting to do. I put a dodge 518 four speed auto, SSBC front and rear breaks, frame connectors, modern mods to engine and exhaust, firm feel steering and new high dollar shocks all around. The car rides on rails and is one of the best driving cars I have ever owned. You should be very happy with your car and good job finding a good one.
