Just looking for a little experienced advice. Was degreeing the cam (solid roller 240# seat .674 lift) and got to thinking about the hex adjust setup. Seems if the bolts were to loosen up at all, the gear would slip and timing would be lost. The little hex adjuster fits kinda loose and slops around a bit even after bolts are tight. Makes it nice for adjustment though. I did a quick search and there are some chevy guys that wont use em with heavy springs. Mine springs aren't too heavy but not weak either. Was thinkin of using the 9 way version instead (9-3625TX9). Am I thinkin straight? Anyone had issues? Any input is appreciated.

I have the same gear set and havent had it slip yet and my spring pressure is 900 open... I also used red locktite on the cam bolts..

Speaking of which.. I did have problems finding the right bolts that would fit with the right cam button.. Good luck to you..

I loved mine in a 500" low deck with a 706/661 lift roller. Just thread lock the bolts and tighten them good.

I'm using one and had the same issue with the adjusting button feeling loose when the bolts were tightened. It doesn't move enough to affect the timing though. Also I bought the timing chain cover from AndyF. And had problems with finding proper bolts due to the design change of the top gear. But after a little all is good.

ARP bolts used to fit but now you might need to use a button head bolt. Not sure why they changed the design, it doesn't seem to be an improvement.
