I was convinced by the numbers that braille listed for their battery s that they would provide me with what I needed. I went on Ebay and after reading some feedback of buyers I am not so sure. One guy claims they are repackaged Deka batterys, with a higher price. He also did not think they performed up to the advertised numbers. That makes sense because they claim more reserve in a much lighter battery. I think I am going with an Odyssey, the one that weighs about 26 lbs. That is about the least amount of reserve I am willing to put up with, because I race with no alternator. I don't go rounds, and I run mechanical injection and alky. I don't go rounds without charging though. If you have an alternator and only run in warm weather, a battery that is as light as 26 lbs will do the job IMHO. Common sense tells me that no company has a big edge weight wise as far as reserve or cranking amps, so I am going to pick my battery based on positive feedback and the numbers I need for my app.

The one Im looking at is the 21 Pound 1300 cranking amps one. Im at 10:1, run a alternator and only driven in warm weather so I think I will try one and see what happens. Thanks for all the feedback.

Even the small braille ought to crank over a motor enough to get it going, so the comment about how long it will last caught my attention. On a street car in a very warm climate, It might work just fine. Looking forward to hearing back from you guys down the road.

It would be a 45 # saving on my car but at over 12.5.1 comp, i'm just wondering about hot starts. I do run a poweful [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean] alternater though. Mick
