Could someone tell me how to remove the trim at the bottom of the windshield against the cowl? Also what is the easiest way to remove the remainder of the trim around the windshield and rear window?

Thanks,

Mike

There is a specail tool for removing windshield trim. It is not unique to 67 Satellites. The end looks sort of like an arrow.

It's best to have someone who knows how show you how its done so you don't damage the trim.

And even with the correct tool sometimes there is 40 years of caulk/silicone holding the mouldings on. here is a pic of one kind of the trim tools

Use the tool pictured above along with a heat source to warm the butyl sealer. A very hot summer day is ideal, but a heat gun will work also.
Heat the trim piece evenly along its length until very warm to the touch, maintain this temperature for 5-10 minutes to allow the butyl sealer to absorb the heat and become soft. Most times lower w/s trim needs to be removed this way to prevent bending and damage.
Extra time and patience spent here will prevent/offset time and effort spent on trying to straigten bent pieces.
Hope this helps.
