I am looking at a set of edelbrock rpm heads. They come assembled at summit with springs. On edelbrocks website it says for use with hydraulic roller, but I have a solid roller 306b comp cam. As long as my cam does not exceed the lift of the spring rating on the heads will it matter if they are used with solid lroller vs hyd roller? The cost savings are great if I can get the eddy heads assembled with springs that work with my cam. Thanks

yep. You need to use the spring spec'd by the cam manuf. or someone who knows this stuff. The stock Eddy springs won't cut it on a solid roller. I use a Comp street solid roller and had to change them. It's more about closed and open pressures as well as coil bind than just about lift. Long story short....use the right spring!!
