Im setting up an 8 3/4 for my dakota to run street/strip,i lowered the rear of the truck 2 inches so how do i get the right pinion angle now?will lowering the rear 2 inches throw it out of whack or no?

Yes it will increase the angle... you can do one of
2 things... put wedges in or cut the perches off
and re weld

The perches are not welded yet. I have the rearend sitting on the perches and bolted down,i read the articles and my understanding is line pinion up with trans,then rotate pinion down 4 deg and weld perches....just wanted to make sure im correct,thanks.
